About the Event

Belgium is putting on an Ensor party, and we are here to celebrate with them! Join Mariska Beekenkamp-Wladimiroff as we delve into the life and career of this unique artist. Introduced to English audiences by the Royal Academy in 2017, Ensor is still a name not many are familiar with. With few paintings in foreign collections, it is easy to forget his work both anticipated and influenced modernist movements from Symbolism, to Fauvism,  and German Expressionism to Dada and Surrealism. Time to explore his work and legacy.

Upon registering an automated email will be sent including instructions on how to join.

A replay will be available for members of the Art Historical London database.

In October we be organising a trip to Belgium to visit some of his works in person, please check out the upcoming Ensor Study Trip.

NB for Dutch speaking audiences we have two talks on this wonderful artist scheduled in Amsterdam on Friday 3/5 and on Monday 6/5, for more information and to book please click on the date.

Nederlands talige lezingen over Ensor vinden plaats in Amsterdam op Vrijday 3/5 en op Maandag 6/5. U kunt op de data clicken voor meer informatie.
