Rethinking Mary Cassatt
Fri, Dec 03
|Hybrid (in person & online)
Typically cast as the sentimental 'painter of motherhood', Cassatt has recently been reconsidered as an early feminist. This talk examines her subjects and painting style as critical explorations of women’s spaces, confined and assigned by society in fin de siècle Paris.
